Ruby on Rails® Developer

The position entails work in two major areas of ApplicationsOnline®: in both the administration and management of the company, as well as in activities surrounding software and technology.

Technical Activities

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript®/Ruby/Rails® programming
  • Database management
  • Automated testing
  • Software documentation
  • Web design

Customer Support

  • Use understanding of technology to research and answer support tickets and feedback
  • Assist clients with software features and functionality

Assistance with IT Resources Decisions

  • Help assess the company’s IT resource needs (people and technology)
  • Collect and analyze data on technological performance
  • Develop policies and procedures governing technology issues
  • Research new technologies

It is recommended the candidate have an interest in software development.

You should be familiar with:

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript®
  • Ruby or similar scripting language
  • Agile development
  • Rails® (preferred)
  • Database management (preferred)
  • Web design (preferred)

You should be:

  • A college graduate (with a bachelor's or higher degree) in Computer Science or related fields
