November 14, 2013

Emerson College, located in Boston, and Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA, have joined the Universal College Application, with both going live in the UCA system last week. Hampshire, Princeton, Trinity College, Tufts, and Washington University in St. Louis all joined recently as well.

"Emerson College is pleased to partner with the Universal College Application in our continued efforts to offer application options to students who wish to apply for admission." said MJ Knoll-Finn, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Emerson College. She continued, "It has been a pleasure to work with the folks at the Universal College Application. They are extremely responsive and flexible partners who have made our adoption of the Universal College Application as smooth as possible."

These additions bring the total to 39 member institutions using the intuitive and functional Universal College Application system.

Juniata College was a member of the consortium in previous years, and, according to Michelle Bartol, the Dean of Enrollment at Juniata College, decided to rejoin the UCA “to give students applying to Juniata a second option by which to do so. We have always had the Universal College Application however this year we went exclusive (to the Common Application) and found that we really missed having the option.”

“We are excited to have Emerson on board. We had a great experience working with them during the setup process and look forward to working with them throughout a successful application year. It is also great to have Juniata back, as we have enjoyed working with them for many years.” said Christopher Warner, who handles Business Development at ApplicationsOnline, the company behind the UCA.
